“buccal fat removal/chin implants/neck liposuctions” POst-surgery symptons!?

I’ve had 3 procedures done recently, abt a month ago.
(Bucaal fat removal/Chin implant/neck liposuction)
I have healed with no bruising at all…However a certain area has what the DR called…”sleepy lip”. He says it will go away in weeks…But i’m so anxious “when!??’
is this whats its called Nerve-blocker of Nerve paralysed??
Will it ever recover,..i am so scared if it dosen’t..??
Please share your experiences if any of you had any same procedures done…

This is a fairly common occurrence with surgery. The good news is that If the nerve was only mildly damaged, it will probably take about 3-6 weeks to recover…that is, if the outer layer of the nerve remains intact. In situations like this, a nerve regenerates at about 1mm per day.

If the outer portion of the nerve was more damaged, affecting the inner portions of the nerve, recovery is longer…usually upwards of approximately 6 months.

There’s not a whole lot you can do to help recovery time except be patient, but some nutritional support may help. B-vitamins in particular aid in nerve function and maintenance.
