Is there a machine/device that can convert body fat directly into electricity?

These days we can do all kinds of different energy transformations… So, a Fat to electricity machine seems to be feasible. Perhaps this kind of machine could help power small implanted devices, aid in weight loss, or, when used with higher intensity, even replace liposuction. Our fat is literally just a homogeneous mass of excess energy right below our skin! Why can’t we access it with a simple device and diminish it by transforming/channeling out clean, useful energy (like electricity) from it?
ah… so currently all we can do is burn it. Well, this is good information to know (didn’t find that out on Google icon smile power liposuction ). Thanks for answering my question and providing the insight. Hopefully one day we will be able to better mimic the efficiency of the animal process.

It already exists – hook a bike, crank, or treadmill up to a generator, then pedal/crank/run. The human body is a lot more efficient at actually using the energy stored in fat compared to what a machine can do (the best people have come up with so far is to burn it, like any other hydrocarbon fuel, which is not very efficient at all), so you might actually get more doing it this way than using it directly. Plus, it is a fairly traumatic process to extract fat from a human body; it might be a big mass, but it is stored as droplets of fat within millions of live cells (adipocytes).
