Swelling under arms after a breast reduction?
I had a breast reduction a week ago and my sides, right under my arms, are incredibly swollen. I know I should expect some swelling but my sides are starting to get huge. My doctor didn’t liposuction that area because I was already very thin around there and I’m wondering if he should have. I got my drainage tubes taken out a few days ago after having them in for 3 days (over the weekend). My sides actually hurt much worse than the rest of my chest.
I was just wondering if this much swelling was natural and how long it will last. I hope I’m just stressing out over nothing haha.
only a week out of surgery, this is very natural. you will be swollen for about 3-6 weeks. when i had my surgery, i did not have drains, so i don’t know about that part but i was swollen and bruised on my sides.
but don’t worry, if it hasn’t gone away in a month, talk to your doctor at your next post op appointment.
