Man charged after fatal house updated Mon liposuction. 31 July 2006 13:41 ET Media Associated FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – A man was arrested on charges of practicing medicine without a license after one woman died during a liposuction procedure in the basement of a house, authorities said Monday. Luiz Carlos Ribeiro, a native of Brazil, was to be arraigned in district court on Monday after the death of one years old woman of 23 on Sunday. Middlesex District Attorney's Office not to disclose the identity of the woman who died. An autopsy was scheduled. Police also charged to Ribeiro with drug possession, illegal possession of a hypodermic device and possession of a controlled substance. A spokeswoman for district attorney's office said did not know what type of drugs. Ribeiro's wife, Miranda Ribeiro, 49, also was charged with drug possession.
Sorry about the woman and her family, but go, you'd think people would have more sense than having lipo done in someone's basement instead of a hospital.
