tumescent liposuction results
four days after liposuction and it looks horrible?
I had tumescent liposuction in the "saddlebags" on my outer thighs. The day after surgery, I noticed the results! The saddlebags were gone, although the area was beaten and lumpy looking. Now, after four days, my thighs seem almost as big as they were before. If I had not seen the 850 cc of fat with my own eyes, I could swear they had not been removed. What is going on? Is it just swollen? Will it reduce again? Is there anything I should do to encourage the swelling to go down? Arrggghh wow, thanks guys for being encouraging and nice! PPL for many it means when answering questions, perhaps the anonymity makes them feel powerful. Thank you all.
The swelling is normal and your doctor should have said upfront about it. Some doctors recommend ice packs and some not. I suggest you call your doctors office and see what they recommend. You should have also received hospital documents giving instructions for the first 2 weeks of home care and special instructions during the first 48 hours, so you know what to expect. Look through any paper work that may have occurred when you left the hospital.
